The Litigation Team is headed by Mr. Shrey Ashat, BA. LLB (Hons) who completed his BA LLB from Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Delhi in 2012. He also holds a Latin Legum Magister (‘LLM’) in Corporate Laws from National Law University, Jodhpur.
Shrey expertise in handling cases related to Corporate, Tax, Civil and Criminal Litigations. He started practicing before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi and various District Courts in Delhi on various matter concerning Civil and Criminal Laws. Thereafter, he was engaged as a legal retainer by M/s Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys and handled litigation assignments for clients on various indirect tax laws viz. the Central Goods and Service Tax Act, 2017, State and Union Territories Goods and Service Tax Act, 2017, the Integrated Goods and Service Tax Act, 2017, the Finance Act, 1994, the Central Excise Act, 1944, the Customs Act, 1962, State Excise Laws, State VAT Legislations.
Shrey has extensively represents clients before Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and at major High Courts in India including Bombay High Court, Punjab & Haryana High Court, Delhi High Court, Uttrakhand High Court, Telangana High Court, Madhya Pradesh High Court, Rajasthan High Court, Allahabad High Court etc including Quasi-Judicial Forums such as CESTAT, ITAT, Debt Recovery Tribunal, NCLT, etc. He has been instrumental in a number of negotiations between the disputed parties leading to out of court settlement. Shrey has successfully assisted and represented clients in matters pertaining to Corporate, Income Tax, GST, IBC, Debt Recovery, Rera, Contracts, Succession, Transfer of Shares, Real Estate, Consumer disputes, etc.
